Nexus Updates for December, 2020

Happy 2021! We’re so excited to start the New Year with you! We wrapped 2020 with new high-impact features we hope you’ll love. As always, our goal is to provide the best possible updates and features to support you, your content, and your community.

Donations/Tips

You can now receive donations and tips from your community!

When purchasing a game, your community can support you further at checkout. If supporters would like to add a tip, they will have the option to select from pre-designated amounts or enter a custom amount, up to $100. You also have the ability to choose what to call this feature by selecting either the “tips” or “donations” label. You can manage this feature in your Creator Settings.

New Ways to Share and Sell Games

We know how important it is for you to be able to share the games you love with your community, that’s why we’ve added two new ways for you to do just that.

Full Game Library Access — Game Links

We’ve opened up the entire Nexus Game Library for all creators!

In addition to showcasing 10 games on your Nexus homepage, you now have the ability to send a direct link for any game in the library! Simply click on the Edit Details button on any game within the Game Library of your Creator Dashboard then copy the link and share it with your community. These links will stay active indefinitely, regardless of any changes you make to your storefront, so the marketing you do to promote your games will always be accessible by your community.

Prefilled Cart Short-Links

We’ve also added another way for you to easily share and sell your games with Prefilled Cart Short-links. This feature allows you to share a link that goes directly to checkout for a specific game, bypassing the game’s product details page and the need to add it to cart. Just like with the full game library access link above, you can copy this link from the Edit Details view of any game within the Game Library of your Creator Dashboard.

A few examples of how to use these two new features are sharing these links in Twitch chat, on Twitter, Discord, or any of your other social media accounts.

Custom Theme Colors

We’ve added a new Custom theme to the Design page in your Creator Dashboard. The new Custom theme allows you to select a custom accent color using either the new color-picker or by entering a HEX value to match your exact brand colors. You can choose to apply a dark or light mode to your overall theme, select your font, and add a pattern to customize your Nexus homepage.
