Who loves patch notes? Nexus loves patch notes. Is it true? We do we do we do-ooo!
Welcome back to the wonderful world of tweaks, fixes, and changes. This month, we’re adding a little clarity to your Nexus storefronts.
New Link Icon Selector
What do we mean by “clarity?” Well, how many of you out there have linked a website in your dashboard settings? This function exists so that you can connect your audience to another page, even if that page isn’t one of the listed forms of social media.
Previously, this link was represented as a globe ???? in the store’s navigation bar. Now, any time a Nexus store owner connects a website, they will be given three options: a star ⭐, the globe ????, or a T-Shirt ???? (great for creators who link to their physical merchandise).
Enhanced Pre-Order Visibility
Video games are exciting. Buying video games is exciting! In fact, it’s so exciting that some of us completely forget how to read. No shame — it happens.
We’ve clarified the “Pre-Order” messaging for those excited, click-happy customers who might have missed the memo. “Sorry buddy, you can’t play it just yet — but you CAN pre-order it to support your favorite creator!”
New Discount Countdown
So, as embarrassing as this is to admit, there have been several times when a game has gone on sale, and we said “We’re definitely buying that later,” and by the time “later” came, the discount had already ended. We’ve done it. You’ve done it. Your audience members do it.
You know who doesn’t forget to finish what they started? Bomb Disposal Technicians. Stay with me here — it’s going to make sense!
Sometimes we need a little reminder of urgency — some rapidly ticking timer to hold our feet to the fire. Likewise, your audience is less likely to put off their purchase if they realize exactly how little time they have to make it happen!
New Email Template
Any time a customer makes a purchase in your Nexus, they’ll be immediately redirected to a page for delivery. However, just to be on the safe side, we also email these redemption keys directly to the customer’s inbox.
We’ve recently changed the way these emails look — but don’t panic! Change is a good thing, and in this instance, it can help prioritize the most important information, like Steam keys and pricing. We’ve also included a link just below the Steam key delivery box to help users who may never have redeemed a Steam key before (or, like many others, simply haven’t redeemed one in a long time).
