Nexus Updates for April, 2021

Say it with me: "Everybody Loves Patch Notes!" and Nexus is back at it again with more changes, news, and features to show off — including a hotly-anticipated addition that’s been requested since day one! Here’s what we’ve been up to in April 2021!

Full Game Library Access

By popular demand, we’ve added a search function to your stores — one that makes it possible for customers to buy any game from the Nexus catalog. This won’t affect your ability to feature a showcase of games in your store, and we still encourage you to curate a storefront that best suits your audience. Keep an eye on the sales made using your search bar. It may give you an idea of what games you should feature that you haven’t already!

You can disable this feature in the ‘Settings’ tab of your dashboard.

Introductory Text Dismissal

If you are using the “Nexus Introduction” feature (see ‘Details’ in your dashboard), visitors to your store can now dismiss the introductory text once they’ve read it. This is static text, so they can choose to remove it if they don’t want to see the same message upon return visits.

Path of Exile Microtransactions

You may have noticed a new tab in your dashboard that separates “Games” from “Microtransactions.” Starting with Path of Exile, we are facilitating the sale of in-game purchases through your Nexus store. If you find yourself curating a store that is mostly or entirely microtransactions, you can make this tab your default landing page via the “Settings” tab. And if your Exile is sporting a sweet look that your audience could get via Armour Pack, consider promoting a direct link to that item!

Email Verification Revamp

We’ve transitioned away from a third-party verification system, and moved the process in-house. From now on, emails to verify customer and creator accounts will come much faster than they did before. We hope that this change makes the process as convenient as possible for our newbies out there. :)
