How to Reach Out to Lapsed and New Creators the Right Way

Whether you’re welcoming creators into your program for the first time or hoping to bring back familiar faces, how you reach out matters. A strong message can turn a cold lead into an enthusiastic supporter—or remind a lapsed creator why they loved working with you in the first place.

Here’s what to include in your outreach:

1. Lead with What’s In It for Them

Creators care about three things: growing their audience, making money, and feeling supported. Your message should reflect that. Be specific about:

  • Revenue share through creator codes or referral bonuses

  • Access to exclusive rewards, cosmetics, or early content

  • Opportunities for content amplification (shoutouts, reposts, in-game features)

  • Why they specifically are a great fit for the program

2. Make It Easy to Say Yes

Friction kills momentum. The easier it is to join, the more likely they are to do it. Include:

  • A direct link to your sign-up flow

  • Clear info on how to activate codes or track earnings

  • Any dashboards or creator tools you offer through Nexus or your platform

3. Show You’re Actively Investing in the Program

Creators want to join programs that feel alive, not ones that are set-and-forget. Reassure them with statements like:

  • “We’ve revamped the program with more rewards and better support.”

  • “This is part of a larger push to spotlight and celebrate our creators.”

4. Personalize the Message (When You Can)

If you’re contacting lapsed creators, make it clear that you noticed—and that they’re missed.

  • “We’d love to see you back in the game—your content always brought the community together.”

  • “We’ve made some big updates, and we’d be thrilled to have you be part of this next chapter.”

5. Reinforce Their Impact

Creators want to know their work matters. Let them know their content drives real value.

  • “Your content has real impact, and this program is built to reflect that.”

6. Reconnect Them with the Game

If they haven’t posted in a while, give them a reason to dive back in.

  • Mention recent updates or upcoming events

  • Share patch notes or trailers

  • Offer a reward pack or content kit to help them create again

Strong outreach starts with empathy and ends with action. Give creators a reason to care—and a clear path to join.
