Platform Update: Publisher Account Roles & Creator Tiers

At Nexus, we’re constantly striving to make our product the best it can be. Whether you want to employ the help of other teammates in managing your Creator Program (Publisher Account Roles) or give an increased revenue share to content creators who go the extra mile (Creator Tiers), we want to offer our partners a platform that allows them to build a Creator Program that works best for them & their game.

That’s why we love putting out this newsletter — because we get to show off how Nexus is evolving and just how easy we’re making it to run a dynamic Support-a-Creator program.

Publisher Account Roles Nexus Publisher Roles

Security is critical to us at Nexus, so we’ve added the ability for publishers to give their account users roles with different permissions. To begin with, we’re keeping it simple. The existing Admin role remains with full permissions to the publisher account, but we’ve also added a Creator Manager role with a more limited set of permissions. This role can only see and manage creators in the program, it can’t modify or see sales, payment details, API keys, or add and edit other account users. This is just the first step — we anticipate creating more roles in the future with specific sets of permissions based on publisher feedback.

Creator Tiers

Support-a-Creator Program - Creator Tiers

We know that not all publishers work with content creators the same way, that’s why we’ve introduced Creator Tiers.

What constitutes a tier? Well, that’s up to the publisher! Publishers can establish tiers based on audience size, amount of content created, or any other benchmark or category they want to create a tier around.

This feature lets publishers organize creators into groups with different revenue shares and scheduled activations as they see fit. When used in conjunction with our revenue share scheduling system, Creator Tiers unlock a powerful set of capabilities for publishers to manage their creator programs. This unmatched flexibility allows publishers to create unique creator programs tailored perfectly to their creators, no more one-size-fits-all creator program solutions.

Both the new account roles and Creator Tiers features are live and can be used on the publisher dashboard Settings page.

Coming Soon: Custom SKU Revenue Shares

Speaking of flexibility, we’re adding even more with an upcoming feature: Custom SKU Revenue Shares. This new release will allow publishers to set (and schedule) custom revenue shares on specific in-game SKUs or combinations of SKUs and creators. This feature opens up a world of possibilities for publishers to get even more creative with their creator programs and we can’t wait to see what they do with it when it launches in the coming weeks.
