Platform Update: Creator Tags, Flexible Terms & Agreements, Discord Messaging, and More

We've shipped a lot since our last update, with new features and improvements across creator programs, webshops, and the publisher dashboard. What follows are a few highlights, but if you'd like a full tour of the platform, our team is happy to walk you through it.

Creator Tags

Every program organizes its creators differently, so we've added a flexible tagging system to help you group and segment yours however it makes sense for you. A new Tags section in the dashboard lets you create and manage tags, and from there tags become a powerful way to work with your creators across the platform.

Once you've created tags, you can put them to work in several ways. Use them as audience selectors when sending campaigns, messages, or keys, so you can target exactly the right group of creators. Have tags assigned automatically when creators accept a campaign, so your segments stay current without manual upkeep. And use tags as filters throughout the platform, including analytics, content insights, and your creator lists, to quickly narrow in on the creators you care about.

As a bonus, creators can now help tag themselves. You can mark any tag as creator-selectable, and those tags appear during the application flow where creators choose the ones that fit their interests and content. Their selections flow straight back into your dashboard and behave just like the tags you assign yourself.

Discord Direct Messaging

Our Discord bot already invites creators into the right servers and roles when they join a program. Now it can reach them directly. When a creator receives a campaign offer, a message, or a set of keys on Nexus, the bot sends them a direct message on Discord letting them know, with a link to view the details.

For publishers, that means less waiting and fewer missed offers. Creators tend to live in Discord, so a quick nudge there gets them back to Nexus to accept a campaign, read a message, or claim their keys faster than email alone.

More Flexible Terms & Agreements

Publishers come to creator agreements with very different needs, so we've made the terms and agreements section more flexible in two ways.

First, you can now add a freeform agreement. Instead of the standard "I have read and agree to..." line, you can write your own language and include your own links, which is ideal when you need creators to acknowledge specific terms, community guidelines, or a privacy policy in wording your legal team has approved.

Terms & Agreements

Second, you can require creators to open each link before they're able to accept. When enabled, the checkbox stays locked until the creator has clicked through every linked document, giving you added assurance that creators have actually opened what they're agreeing to.

Richer Creator Data in the Members API

For publishers who pull program data programmatically, the /manage/members API now returns more of what you already see in the publisher dashboard and CSV exports: average video views and concurrent viewership stats, plus channel links for Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok. This gives teams more flexibility in how they access creator reach data and makes it easier to bring those numbers into their own reporting and tooling.

Webshop Purchase Limits

Games sell all kinds of items, and not every item should be available without limits. Some items are meant to be bought once for the life of an account; others, like a season pass, should be available a set number of times within a given period. Webshops now support purchase limits so you can cap how many times a SKU can be purchased.

You can configure limits to fit how your game works. Whether managed directly within Nexus or driven by your own game data limits can be customized to your exact needs.

What's Next

We're continuing to build on these areas, with deeper tagging capabilities for creators and more ways to coordinate and measure your creator activations on the way. As always, the best features start with publisher feedback, so if there's something you'd like to see, let us know.
