Platform Update: A Redesigned Publisher Dashboard, Creator Content Submission, and More

The last few months have been a whirlwind! We rebuilt the publisher dashboard from the ground up, shipped a new system for collecting and approving creator content in campaigns, and made many existing features considerably more capable along the way. What follows are the highlights, but if you'd like a full tour of the platform, our team is happy to walk you through it, just send us a note.

Redesigned Publisher Dashboard

The publisher dashboard is where most of your day-to-day work happens, so we gave it a full visual overhaul. The new interface is cleaner and easier to scan, with more consistent tables, clearer navigation, and better use of space throughout. Plus, this revamp will allow us to add new functionality much more quickly than before, so keep an eye out!

A few things you'll notice right away. Tables are easier to parse and behave more predictably, with sorting and row counts that work the way you'd expect. The dashboard is (finally) far more usable on mobile, so you can check on your program from your phone without fighting the layout. And, due to popular demand, a dark mode has been added. Your eyes will thank you.

Of course, there are far too many small improvements and adjustments to list out here, so give it a look yourself and let us know what your favorite changes are or if you have any feedback.

Creator Content Submission & Publisher Approval

Campaigns gave you a way to organize creator activations around your biggest moments. Now you can close the loop on them. Creators can submit the content they've published for a campaign, and you can review and approve it without leaving your dashboard.

Here's how it works. Content submission is enabled per campaign, so you turn it on for the campaigns where it makes sense. Once a creator has opted in, they can submit up to ten pieces of content as links, each with an optional note. Those submissions show up in your accepted creators view for easy review.

From there you can approve a submission, request changes, or reject it, adding a note to explain your decision. Creators are notified of every action, both in their dashboard and by email, and can edit and resubmit when you've asked for changes. Creators also see status indicators on their campaign cards, so they know where action is needed without opening each one.

Your existing campaign export now includes content URLs, status, and review dates, so the record of what was delivered is easy to pull for reporting. Content submission is off by default for existing campaigns, and you can turn it on for a campaign that's already running.

We’re excited to see how publishers use this feature and already have some ideas of how it can be expanded, so please reach out if you have any questions or suggestions.

More Flexible Campaigns

Content submissions aren’t the only thing we added to Campaigns. They’ve also picked up several improvements based on how we’ve seen publishers use them in their programs.

Active campaigns can now be edited. Previously a campaign was locked once it went out, which made small corrections impossible. Now you can update a live campaign and creators will see the changes in their dashboard, while anyone who already accepted stays accepted.

Campaigns can also stay open to creators who become eligible later. When enabled, a campaign targeted at all creators, specific tiers, or specific tags will remain visible and open to anyone who qualifies after it was sent, rather than being locked to the group that existed at that moment. This is especially useful for programs that are actively recruiting, since new creators aren't shut out of activations that are still running.

Rounding out the new features, you can now remove creators from a campaign, export a CSV of everyone who accepted, and see a creator's accepted campaigns directly in their details view.

Better Creator Filtering and Exports

Finding the right group of creators in your program should be quick, so we rebuilt filtering in the creators table. Filters now start off, showing your full creator list, and narrow the table as you select them, which makes it much clearer what you're actually looking at.

We also added filtering by audience size. On platforms where we track metrics, you can set a minimum and maximum on average video views for YouTube and TikTok, or concurrent viewership for Twitch, making it far easier to pull together a group of creators who match specific requirements.

Exports now respect your filters. When no filters are applied you'll export your full creator list, and when filters are active you'll export exactly the set you're looking at, with the count shown either way so there are no surprises.

Additional columns for creator country and language have been added, giving you more data at a glance. These columns can be toggled and filtered just like any other column so you can customize the view to your exact needs.

Finally, you can change the time period behind your platform metrics. Averages were previously always calculated over the last 90 days; now you can set 30, 60, or 90 days. This changes both the averages displayed and the period your creator requirements evaluate against. It currently applies to YouTube and TikTok, with Twitch planned.

Creator Tag Improvements

When we introduced tags, we mentioned we wanted creators to be able to manage their own, and now that’s live! Creators see a Tags section in their dashboard where they can view, add, and edit the tags they're able to select.

Publishers also get more control over how tags are collected. You can now require creators to select at least one tag during their application, which is useful when you're relying on tags to segment your program from day one. It's off by default and sits alongside your other creator requirements.

What's Next

We're continuing to build on this new foundation, with a major revamp of Content Insights (with Twitch data included!) and similar improvements to the creator dashboard on the way. As always, the best features start with publisher feedback, so if there's something you'd like to see, get in touch.
